Brian became a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) by IACIS in 2006 (re-certified in 2009, 2012 and 2015) while working as an investigator with the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at the Michigan State Police. After 32 years of law enforcement work, he created BK Consulting, LLC in 2009, to do forensic analyst work for both public and private sector clients.

BK Consulting had a 2 1/2 year contract to provide forensic analyst services to the Michigan State Police in their Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which is part of the Computer Crimes Unit.

Brian is currently a Supervisor in the CyberCrime Section for the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) and is based out of Fairmont, WV. The section has basic computer forensic classes available to law enforcement around the USA.
